Protest!
Peacekeeper Automaton for Protest! a tabletop wargame played solo, two, three or four players.
Downloadable 3d print models. You control a gang of citizens of 22nd century future city that protest against whatever your gang dislikes the most.
These protests are often violent masking a plan to loot stores and government facilities.
As a single player you control your gang of protesters. You try to achieve the goal for the protest, playing against a peacekeeper force of automatons and human associates.
I’d love to create an app that helps manage the gangs, recording game results and allowing expansion, even some kind of black market trading system for looted goods, adding a money management aspect from which your gang can evolve with equipment and new members.
In opposition to these protesters are peacekeeper forces, whose success is determined on number of subdued protesters vs fatalities.
I plan to create large air wagon minis to deliver the automaton, whose tactics start by attempting to set up force barriers to divide the protesters.
Automaton visually come across as very cold and uncaring. Contrasting with this is the government spin that they are here to help society. This requires careful design to be able to cross both looks. Helpful yet menacing.
I’d love to create YouTube government advertisements on how they are attending to humanity’s needs while physically restraining protesters. Releasing missions as part YouTube video introductions with app involvement, the results feeding into the next mission…
The base automaton model is almost ready – next is setting them up to print (the hard part) and paint.
I’ll post updates as they happen.
I’d love to hear any thoughts or feedback, what you may like about this idea.
